چکیده

Objectives: Arthroscopic suprapectoral biceps tenodesis (ASPBT) may result in postoperative pain. Previous studies have revealed associations between demographic or intraoperative factors and shoulder pain, but with conflicting results. No study has exclusively investigated predictors of pain following ASPBT. The purpose this was to evaluate associated ASPBT while also determining the clinical impact We hypothesized that younger age pre-existing diagnoses chronic syndromes would be increased Methods: A retrospective comprised patients underwent completed. Groups were categorized by presence (BP+) absence (BP-) Differences continuous variables tested two-sample t-tests differences categorical chi-squared Fisher’s exact test. Variables collected at different timepoints first analyzed using a linear mixed model generalized fixed effects for group, timepoint, group*timepoint interaction, random subject effect. Post-hoc comparisons p-values adjusted multiple testing Benjamini-Hochberg procedure. Results: total 461 (47 BP+, 414 BP-) met criteria analysis. lower mean observed BP+ group (p<0.01). Diagnoses major depressive disorder (MDD) (p=0.03) any anxiety (p<0.01) more prevalent group. Prescription medication selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors norepinephrine atypical antidepressants (p=0.01) Subacromial decompression (SAD) performed less frequently Conclusions: Younger age, diagnosis MDD disorder, as well use psychotropic medications predictive odds developing undergoing concomitant SAD. Postoperative after resulted prolonged recovery, inferior PROs, higher incidence repeat surgical procedures. decision perform patients, diagnosed anxiety, taking should carefully considered given correlation outcomes. Arthroscopic biceps tenodesis.

Arthroscopic biceps tenodesis is indicated for the treatment of severe biceps tendonopathy, partial- or full-thickness tendon tears, or biceps instability typically associated with rotator cuff tear, although there has been considerable debate on tenotomy versus tenodesis. We advocate tenodesis, for the following reasons: to re-establish the resting muscle length so as to avoid scaring and spas...

Arthroscopic-assisted biceps tenodesis for ruptures of the long head of biceps brachii: The cobra procedure.

A number of open procedures have been presented in the literature that described the repair of the ruptured long head of biceps brachii (LHBB). Although arthroscopic biceps tenodesis techniques have been used to address partial tears or subluxation of the biceps, no arthroscopic technique to assist in the treatment of complete retracted ruptures of the LHBB has been described. This article desc...

Proximal Biceps Tenodesis

Methods: Twenty fresh-frozen cadaveric shoulders were dissected for analysis. Initial anatomic measurements involving the proximal long head of the biceps tendon (BT) were made, which included: the labral origin to the superior bicipital groove (LO-SBG), the total tendon length (TTL), the musculotendinous junction (MTJ) to the inferior pectoralis major tendon border, the MTJ to the superior pec...

Biceps Tenodesis: Anatomic Tensioning

Biceps tenodesis is a commonly employed surgical intervention for refractory symptoms related to the biceps-labral complex, those intra-articular and those within the extra-articular bicipital tunnel. While a litany of surgical techniques exists, the optimal method for ensuring an anatomic length-tension relationship during tenodesis remains elusive. Appropriate tensioning may limit undesirable...
